I can’t get over how frequently i’m hearing those in main stream media promote their presence on twitter. On Bloomberg radio this morning they were talking about complex issues relating the government bailout and the broadcaster says “let me know what you think about this on twitter.” I was like, “has he ever been on twitter? how the heck could i tell him my thoughts on the government rescue package in 140 characters?”
are we just dumbing everything down to sound bites?

The thing is, everyone’s learning that you can’t bring the community to you, but you have to go where people are living and interacting online. They clearly see Twitter as one key to doing this.
I feel the “dumbing down” notion regarding 140 character soundbites. media snacks… yeesh.
